If you plan to visit Croatia, you probably wonder when is the best time to do it.
For the beginning, it depends do you have kids and you are tied to school holidays or you are all adults.
In the first case, you will probably have to stick to the high season. High season advantage is that the air and the sea will be the warmest, all hotels and tourist attractions will be open but the majority of tourists come in high season so the most popular places will be overcrowded.
The best months to visit Croatia:
If you are all adults and can come whenever you want, our suggestions are May-June and September-October. The weather will be warm and pleasant, all of the hotels and tourist attractions will be open but you will experience real peace and truly Croatia as none of the areas will be overcrowded. That is the time of the year when even the most popular beaches will be with enough free space for enjoying and when you can easily walk in all the popular tourist attractions.
Above all, the suggestion from our hearth is September. 3 days in September worth more than the whole week in July or August.
The swimming season in Croatia is from May to October, bit braver can swim in April and November.
From December to March we are preparing our facilities, body, and soul for the new season so that is not a very popular time to visit Croatia (except Holiday season – Christmas and New Year). If you decide to visit Croatia during those three months, we suggest sticking to the biggest towns like Zagreb or Split. Smaller towns and islands will be “dead” during that time and even public connections are very limited.
We hope this article will help you make the right decision and see you this summer!
