Split-region embarkation

Frequently asked questions
Is the catamaran reserved only for our group?
Yes. Every catamaran on this page is booked as a fully private charter and is reserved exclusively for your group.
What does owner-skippered mean?
The professional skipper operating your charter is also the owner of the catamaran. The owner knows the boat in detail, is responsible for its maintenance and personally takes care of the onboard experience.
Do we book directly with the catamaran owner?
Yes. Polaris helps you compare the selected catamarans and find the best match, while the charter booking is arranged directly with the catamaran owner.
Are private transfers included?
Complimentary arrival and departure transfers to and from the catamaran are included with every full-week charter. We confirm the exact pick-up and drop-off arrangements before your arrival.
Do I need sailing experience?
No. Every catamaran includes a professional skipper, so guests do not need sailing qualifications or previous sailing experience.
Can we choose our own sailing route?
Yes. All catamarans are based in Split or the surrounding area, but routes are flexible rather than fixed. Tell us which islands and coastal destinations interest you, and your skipper will shape the final itinerary around your wishes, available time, weather and safe navigation.
Can we book a one-way catamaran charter?
Yes, a one-way charter may be possible depending on the selected catamaran, dates, route and availability. Every catamaran charges an additional one-way or relocation fee, and the exact amount depends on the yacht and disembarkation port. We confirm the fee before booking.
Are meals and drinks included?
Food and drink arrangements differ between catamarans. Some offer a chef or hostess/cook and use an APA, while Avocado offers a more independent skipper-only experience. We clearly explain all inclusions before booking.
What is APA?
APA, or Advance Provisioning Allowance, applies to selected crewed catamarans and its structure varies by yacht. Depending on the catamaran, it may cover crew fees, comfort packs, groceries, beverages, fuel, port fees and tourist tax. The exact amount and breakdown are shown on each yacht page.
